Retreat Booking Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern your booking for the "Treading Sacred Waters" retreat and constitute a binding agreement between The Community School for Human Arts and its partners (hereinafter referred to as "Hosts") and the participant (hereinafter referred to as "Client"). Please read them carefully as they outline the cancellation policy, payment terms, responsibilities, and liability for both parties.
Booking Trips & The Contract
All persons wishing to make a booking must carefully read and understand these Terms and Conditions. By making a booking for the retreat, you accept these Terms and Conditions on behalf of yourself and all persons named on the booking. A booking is considered definite only when a confirmation email is sent, and the non-refundable deposit has been paid.
Deposits
A non-refundable deposit of $200 per person is required to secure your spot at the retreat.
Deposits are required to secure participant space, materials, and services in advance. As such, they are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Final Payments
The remaining balance of your retreat payment is due by March 1, 2025.
Bookings made after March 1, 2025, must be paid in full at the time of booking.
If the final balance is not received by the due date, your booking may be cancelled, and the deposit forfeited.
Refund / Cancellation by the Client
We understand that unexpected events can arise that may affect your plans. Please note that deposits are always non-refundable.
Cancellations made by February 28th are eligible for a 50% refund.
Cancellations made after February 28th are non-refundable.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment.
Cancellation of a Retreat by the Hosts
In the unlikely event that the retreat is cancelled by the Hosts, participants will receive a full refund of all payments made.
The Hosts are not responsible for travel arrangements, and/or other costs incurred as a result of the booking.
Pricing
All retreat prices are listed per person and are quoted in USD.
The retreat price includes workshops, activities, and meals as outlined in the itinerary but does not include airfare, travel insurance, or personal expenses unless explicitly stated.
Travel & Health Insurance
Participants are strongly encouraged to obtain travel insurance that covers personal injury, emergency medical expenses, trip cancellation, and other unforeseen circumstances.
Participants are responsible for their own medical and travel insurance and must ensure coverage is adequate for the retreat.
Health & Fitness
Participants must inform the Hosts of any medical conditions, disabilities, or dietary restrictions that may impact their ability to participate. The Hosts reserve the right to decline participation if necessary accommodations cannot be made.
Photographs & Media
Photos and videos may be taken during the retreat for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be included, please notify the Hosts in writing before the retreat begins.
Retreat Itinerary Changes
The retreat itinerary is subject to change due to weather, availability, or other unforeseen circumstances. Any changes will be communicated promptly to participants.
Liability & Acceptance of Risk
Participants acknowledge that the retreat may involve physical activities, including but not limited to yoga, movement practices, and outdoor excursions, which carry inherent risks.
By participating, you agree to assume full responsibility for any injury, illness, or loss that may occur and release the Hosts from any liability.
Participants are responsible for ensuring their physical fitness and readiness for the retreat activities. If you have concerns, please consult a medical professional prior to attending.
The Hosts will take reasonable precautions to ensure a safe and supportive environment but cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond their control.
Waiver of Booking Conditions
These Booking Terms and Conditions may only be waived or amended by written mutual consent. By completing and submitting your booking, along with the required payment, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. When your booking is accepted, the Hosts agree to fulfill the obligations outlined herein.
Updating of Terms & Conditions
The Hosts reserve the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. It is the responsibility of the Client to review these Terms and Conditions periodically to stay informed of any changes.
